Great work by C.P.Brown
Originating from Europe, it was really great on
Sir C P Brown, for not only learning to speak, read and write Telugu,
but also to be able to deliver such works.

He really served the Telugu language by collecting all the "Vemana padyalu" (stanzas by Vemana) and publishing them.

Wish I can get more and more Telugu books from Amazon.com

The "BEST" Telugu-English Dictionary.
As a Telugu Speaking person, i rate this Telugu-English Dictionary, the " best " available book in the world market. I personally thank C.P. Brown for his effort in publishing this book. I used refer this book when i was at school.

Ten Seeds by Ruth Brown
We LOVE this book! I've been looking all over for a good book that portrays the growth of a seed and this book achieves that beautifully. My kids (ages 4 and 2) want it read to them over and over again. It is also a great counting backwards (or subtraction) book.

Ten seeds
Very cute and sturdy. A youbg boy plants ten seeds, which, one by one, are eaten are destroyed in some manner. All except for one seed that grows into a glorious sunflower, which produces exactly ten seeds. A definite summer hit for the young set.

There It Is: A Canadian in the Vietnam War
Published in Hardcover by McClelland & Stewart (November, 1900)
Author: Les D. Brown
Average review score:

An eye-opening antiwar memoir!
This book had a profound effect on me in the way it illustrated how the "spiritual awakening" and prosperity of Canada during the 60's was paid for with the blood of America's children. I find it sickening how Canadians have distanced themselves from this war and condemned innocent veterans, most of whom were just out of highschool at the time...while at the same time praising the draft dodgers who headed north and assimilated into the Canadian population. These veterans need to be treated with the respect they deserve once and for all.

In his autobiography, "There It Is", Les Brown tells of his experiences as a Canadian born teenager, drafted into the US Army after returning to his parents home in California after a summer vacation in his native Quebec. You feel the helplessness he must have felt while trapped in the Kafkaesque draft system -one moment surfing the golden California beaches, the next on the front lines in South East Asia.

Lost in the green whirlwind that is the US Army, the young soldier quickly adapts to grunt life -finding brotherhood among those poor souls lost in the anarchy of a deteriorating war effort. As it becomes more and more clear that the American leadership has failed, Les becomes increasingly defiant. While in the most dangerous jungles he refuses to carry an M-16 and even goes AWOL for week surfing the beaches of Vietnam. A truly courageous Anti-War memoir, "There It Is" brings to the public consciousness the demons harbored by one man but belong to us all.

This book is incredible. The author gives such detailed descriptions of the characters and their surroundings that you are transported there. This book will make you laugh, cry and reminisce. Two thumbs up and hats off to Ms. Mccreary on her first novel, and I look forward to reading what happens next with the chronicles.

You Go Girl!
This is a book that will definately keep your attention from start to finish. I was up until two in the morning talking to the characters on the pages as if they were my own personal friends. If you love E. Lynn Harris' books, I know you will love this book also. This new author is on her way!

Three Mean Alligators (The Alligator Book Series)
Published in Paperback by The Hilton A. Vaughan Memorial Scholarship Foundation (07 February, 1997)
Authors: Joy Vaughan-Brown, Mark DeGross, and Mark Sturdevant
Average review score:

A fresh, humorous, non-threatening vehicle
Three Mean Alligators is a positive prevention instrument, aimed at preserving our nation's most valuable resources, the lives of our children. Three Mean Alligators is a responsible step in facilitating open and honest communication between parents and children, by providing a platform whereby parents can gently enter into the private places where their children live inside themselves, ands learn ways to plant seeds of healing.

Charming & colorful illustrations & morality for kids!
My children and I have read Three Mean Alligators over and over again. They enjoy the educational puzzles and the illustrations are charming and very colorful. I bought an extra copy and framed the pictures for my children. Sometimes when I put them to bed we discuss the alligators by putting them in situations of moral dilemma.

A Time to Blossom
Published in Hardcover by Houghton Mifflin Co (11 October, 2001)
Authors: Tovah Martin and Richard D Brown
Average review score:

True value is in its text.
My mom bought me this book when I had my own little girl. It sat on the coffee table as a showpiece, just because its a beautiful book. What I didn't realize at first was that it reads like a novel, too. Tovah Martin is apparently writing about her own childhood experiences with her mother in the garden, and she does so with eloquence. Her stories make me want to take notes of all the flowers and trees that shaped her earliest memories. She writes about them in such a way that I want them to become a part of my own life. I am now considering buying another Tovah Martin book.

Strikingly lovely!
Fully capturing a sense of childhood wide-eyed wonder, Ms. Martin shares with readers now and for years to come her passion for flowers and gardening. Complementing her fine text are photographs of strikingly lovely and beautiful women and girls - a beautiful tribute to mothers and daughters to parallel Ms. Martin's desire for readers to convey their love for blossoms to their own daughters. It's a beautiful book with a beautiful message.

Toad

Toad is a toddler's best friend
My son is 21 months and this is his absolute favorite book. He LOVES all of the pictures and the muddy, mucky, sticky, gooey TOAD! This book is so much fun to read, and it really gets my son excited about reading. Best of all are the fabulous illustrations. We have come to love Ruth Brown's books, and we think that she is the best children's illustrator around.

Great giggles for kids
While babysitting, I read this book to two girls: 2 and 5 years old. They LOVED it. You can really have fun with the words - gooey slimy bug crunching - and change your tone while reading. It's a sure fire winner.

Tom Brown's Field Guide to the Forgotten Wilderness

Authors: Tom, Jr. Brown and Jackie McGuire

Tom Brown's Guide to the Forgotten Wilderness
An excellent book for your children or grandchildren to learn that there is something more to life than computer games. It will show them that patience is a virtue. The author shows his enthusiasm and love for nature and the creatures God has created.

Great book for the urban naturalist.
If you live in the city or suburbs and can't get away to explore nature, this is the book for you. It tells you where to look in your own backyard to find wild animals. There are good descriptions of the species that might be found in each particular environment. I found it useful in helping me identify the places in the city frequented by animals we wouldn't expect to find there. If you're an urban naturalist, I recommend this book.

Touched by Jesus
Published in Paperback by Quality Printing & Publications (27 November, 1996)
Author: Tami Coble Brown
Average review score:

A book that will capture your attention!
This is a wonderful book that you will find is most readable and very interesting. Written in a warm and inviting style, the author will introduce you to several key personalities mentioned in the Gospel of John. Each character portrait will offer the reader a key practical lesson to be learned on matters such as humility, parenting, facing fears, overcoming prejudice etc.

Read this book and you will be certainly enriched both in soul and spirit!

Well Worth Reading!
This book is a fascinating look at some of the characters in the Gospel of John. Some of them were well known people, like Peter, Judas, and Pilate. Others were nameless individuals, like the woman at the well, the woman caught in the adultery and the man born blind. All of them had one thing in common. They were all touched by Jesus. The author brings out many practical lessons that can be learned from studying the lives of these people. The study questions at the end of each chapter make it an excellent book for group or personal study. I would recommend this book to anyone who desires a closer relationship with Jesus.
